The Graduate Council Appeals Committee hears graduate petitions for variances from established policies, requests from graduate program directors for exceptions to graduate policies and procedures, and other cases as referred to the committee (i.e. Student Academic Appeals after being reviewed at the Program and College levels).

Graduate students wishing to submit graduate petitions regarding graduate policies should do so using the Petition Form. Students and programs are notified of the outcome within five (5) business days of the Graduate Appeals Committee meeting that the petition is reviewed.
